The Kenner Award for Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer was presented at the American Pancreatic Association 2020 Virtual Meeting on October 30, 2020. This award is given yearly to provide support to two investigators who demonstrate interest in early detection of pancreatic cancer based on submitted abstracts.

This year Jason Pitarresi, Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine (Philadelphia), for Collateral Amplification of the PTHrP Gene Drives Pancreatic Cancer Growth and Metastasis and Reveals a New Therapeutic Vulnerability and Wansu Chen, Ph.D., Kaiser Permanente Southern California Research and Evaluation (Pasadena, California), for Prediction of Pancreatic Cancer in a Population-Based Cohort Using Machine Learning were selected.
