AI and Early Detection Summit logo, About page

The framework for the Summit is based on idea generation, facilitated discussion, and innovative science. Through comprehensive conversations, participants explore opportunities for the use of AI in early detection, with a goal of defining new pathways toward a protocol. The Summit took place over a two-day period, with each session designed to build upon the others.

Prior to the Summit, each participating expert worked within a group to develop an in-depth analysis on one of the following interrelated topics:

  • Progress, Problems, and Prospects of Early Detection
  • AI and Machine Learning
  • AI and Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer Current Efforts
  • Collaborative Opportunities
  • Moving Forward: Reflections from Government, Industry, and Advocacy

The resulting pre-Summit paper Artificial Intelligence and Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer provided a landscape of current efforts in the field, an analysis of gaps, and ideas for innovation and opportunity.
